It took me a little while to think of an idea for the cigar box. As I was studying it and to try to get some inspiration, I noticed some bits of tobacco in the box and thought of ash. The thought came to mind that cigars and cigarettes will kill you, but we're all gonna turn to ash anyways... just like the cigar. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, and all that jazz. I drew in the skull with the cigar and wrote "Ashes to Ashes." This reminded me of the children's song that's been associated with the Plague, and it worked with the theme, so I added "we all fall down." The cherry blossoms represent a lighter take on death. They represent the transience of life, since they fall from the tree while they're still in bloom.
Life is beautiful. Life is short. Take advantage of it!! If you want a tattoo, go get one! (preferably from me, if possible). If you want to learn something, learn it! The human brain can learn anything you want to teach it, with enough time and effort. Don't fool yourself into thinking you're too old or too dumb to do something. The human brain is an amazing thing. So is the human body. Make use of it!
Ok... that's enough random thoughts and unsolicited advice from me. Here are the pictures... I still have to think of what to do on the outside of the box... thinkin outside the box... ha. Blah. It's FRIDAY!! Have a good weekend, readers!
